Syntax diagrams are easy enough to "grok" for a specialist, but in asfar as they are used normatively in the specification (which isn't clear, see https://bugs.ecmascript.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2379), there should be a reference to a stable description so that anybody who doesn't feel sure about their interpretation can look it up.
