In 12.10.3 "Runtime Semantics: Evaluation",
in Note 3,
bullet 1 says
new String("a") == "a" and "a" == new String("a") are both true.
where the last double-quote and right-paren are in a sans-serif font.
Change them to the monospace-bold font.
